樟腦丸有天然樟腦丸與合成樟腦丸之分。是一種有機(jī)化合物，含有萘的樟腦丸大多呈白色，氣味刺鼻，且沉于水中；而天然樟腦丸則是光滑的呈無色或白色的晶體，氣味清香，會(huì)浮于水中。用于防蟲、防蛀、防霉的天然樟腦丸又被稱為臭珠，原本是從樟樹枝葉中提煉出的有芳香味的有機(jī)化合物。也用來制藥、香料等，醫(yī)藥上用作強(qiáng)心藥。而含有萘或者對(duì)二氯苯的合成樟腦丸則有刺鼻的味道，二氯苯有毒性，它能引起人體中毒癥狀，如倦怠、頭暈、頭痛、腹瀉等。目前市面上出售的樟腦丸80%以上均不同程度地含有萘或者對(duì)二氯苯，印有“絕不含萘和對(duì)二氯苯，安全、高效、對(duì)人體無毒無害”的產(chǎn)品不到1/6。因此選購防蛀劑時(shí)一定要注意包裝袋上標(biāo)注的成分，切莫忽視。
